This is a mood board I created depicting things I would like to influence or include in my trailer. In the top left hand corner is a dark forest, which is the setting the trailer will be based in because its a place where horrible things could easily happen and no one would know. I think the forest in the image would be a good place to set the trailer however the trees are very spaced out and I think it would possibly be better if the forest was thicker so there were more places to hide etc. The next image along is of a blacked out eye. I included this picture because the people who have the virus in the trailer can be identified by their eyes. This is a possibility for how their eyes could look. To do this we could buy special contact lenses or we could edit the eyes in post production. In the top right hand corner is a bleeding man in a forest. Not only is this a shot that is likely to be included in the trailer but it is also a cantered angle which I think would look good because it creates disorientation.
Below this is another eye, which I have included for the same reason as the black eye, it is a possibility for how the eyes of the infected could look. Again this is an effect we could create by using contact lenses or editing. To the left of this is a still from the Blair Witch Project. As our trailer will be done in the same POV style this is similar to shots we will use. To the far left is a shot that could either be considered a close up or a holding the camera shot. Either of these would work well in our trailer, especially as the two people look scared and the shot looks unplanned.
Below this is a handheld shot of a person in a forest. Again this is a cantered angle which I would like to use. There is nothing horror like happening in this shot so it is probably early on in the film and could be one of the first shots in our trailer. To the right of this is two infected people or zombies. This is a good example of how zombies can look and could possibly look in the trailer because nothing about their appearance is too complex, there's no skin hanging off them etc, just blood and dirt. Below this is a shot that shows the use of foreground. I think this would a great shot to use because hiding something in the background whilst the characters are in the foreground can be very effective and scary.
In the bottom right corner is a bite mark from Paranormal Activity. If we show a bite in the trailer I think this is how it should look because the bite looks very realistic. We may show a bite mark because this is a way a virus could be passed on, however it could a difficult effect to create. Next to this is another example of an eye that the infected people could have. And, finally, in the left corner is another dark forest, which I think looks even better than the other one because the trees are closer together and it looks eerier.
