Horror Film Proposal - Party Hard

A teenage boy is driving two of his female friends around in his car. They decide to try and find a costume (possibly Halloween?) party that one of their friends is at. They’re driving around a village but they are completely lost. They try and phone their friend but he doesn’t answer so they continue to try and find the party. Eventually they reach a house which looks like it may contain a party so they park up the car and go to the door. The girl who was trying to call her friend doesn’t realise her phone slipped out of her pocket and onto the front seat. As they go up to the house we see a text flash up on the girl’s phone with the address of the party.

They knock on the door and someone in a mask opens and lets them in. They ask the masked person if it’s the right person’s party but when met with no response they assume they’re in the right place as they have been admitted entrance. Once inside one of the girls goes to look for the friend whilst the other two see about getting some drinks. However they get separated when the boy seemingly disappears, although the girl doesn’t think much of it as the boy usually behaves like that.

The girl exchanges a few looks with a masked man who signals for her to follow him. They go to an empty room where he proceeds to stab her. As this occurs the other girl walks in and sees what is happening causing her to run away. As she runs away the man pulls off his mask, which she sees, and it’s not anyone we recognise. She tries to escape through various windows and doors but finds them all locked.


A girl in a mask sees her trying to escape and offers to help the girl. She takes the girl to a room in which the masked man is tied to a chair. She is goaded by masked people in the room to murder the masked man for killing her best friend. However when she does so the mask is pulled off revealing it to be her male friend, who she knows wasn’t the murderer. She realises what she has done, and that two of her friends are now dead, and goes crazy.

She tries to escape from the house but still everything is locked and she doesn’t know who she can trust or who any of the masked people are. Eventually she finds a way into the attic however she is pursued by the masked people and has to climb out onto the roof. As the masked people also get onto the roof she takes one good look around and realises she is trapped. Realising she won’t escape a fate similar to that of her friends she jumps from the roof.

We assume this has killed her however there is then a POV shot from her eyes of them opening to see she is surrounded by the masked people. They ‘look’ at one another and laughter is heard as they drag her back into the house, they put a mask on her to prevent her from screaming. As this occurs the camera zooms out and focuses on the name of the road which is on the wall outside the house. We see it is a different road to address her friend text her and that they were at the wrong party.
